What is CDS Exam?

Combined Defence Services Exam is conducted by UPSC to take in Officers into Permanent commission in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force; Short Service Commission in Indian Army-OTA.

IMA

The Indian Military Academy,

Air Force Academy, Dundigal. The Air Force Academy was established in 1969 and started in 1971.

OTA

Officers Training Academy is a training establishment of the Indian Army that trains officers for the Short Service Commission.

Vision Defence's CDS Exam course structure

1.Weekend batch – 9am – 11am and 11.15am – 1.15pm (This batch will be apt for working candidates and final year students pursuing graduation.)

2.Weekdays morning batch – 10.30-12.30pm (This will be comfortable for those who are passed out from the college.)

3. Weekdays evening batch – 6pm- 8pm (This batch will be apt for working candidates and final year students pursuing graduation.)

Know about Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission

A Permanent Commission means a career in the Army till you retire(60 years of age). Tenure of Short Service Commission, in the Regular Army will be granted for 14 years i.e. for an initial period of 10 years, extendable by 4 years.
