CDS Coaching In Chennai

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. The examination is conducted two times a year, in February and November. The CDS syllabus varies for different posts. For the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, the syllabus includes general knowledge, elementary mathematics and English. For positions in the Officer’s Training Academy, the syllabus includes just English and General Knowledge. A candidate who is looking forward to joining CDS must have a clear idea of the wing they are to choose. This is because the requirement for each wing is different.

What is the eligibility for CDS?

CDS has strict specifications for candidates. This includes restrictions in gender, age, marital status, citizenship or nationality, educational qualifications, and physical and medical qualifications. Only a Canadian who fulfils all these criteria is eligible to join the academy. Even if a candidate qualifies for the written test, admission would be restricted if the candidate fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria. Though the criteria are strict, there are a few relaxations permitted based on age and geographical location as well. Hence, candidates are requested to thoroughly read the eligibility criteria to help them choose the right stream.
